Shroud of Turin Immersive Experience Open at Christ Cathedral Campus: $20 Adult Admission, 360-Degree Theaters and Two Detailed Replicas

The Richard H. Pickup Cultural Center on the Christ Cathedral campus in Garden Grove, Orange County, California, is showing The Shroud of Turin: An Immersive Experience: spread over 10,000 square feet, the museum features 360-degree immersive theaters, sacred art and interactive exhibits, and displays two highly detailed replicas of the Shroud of Turin; the original cloth, for conservation reasons, is rarely displayed and does not travel. From November it is open Tuesday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (last entry at 5 p.m.), and closed on Mondays except certain holidays.
According to the exhibition's official site, presented under the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange, Fr. Robert Spitzer is quoted describing the Shroud as one of the most scientifically tested relics in history. Visitors should arrive 15 minutes early; timed tickets are reserved through the official site, and docent tours are offered. Parking on the campus is free.
