SAN FRANCISCO, San Francisco County, California — The Ferry Building hosts a mahjong meetup every Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m., including the session on October 28, in the Marketplace across from Delica.
All skill levels are welcome. For newcomers eager to learn, a quick guide and helpful tips on Chinese-style mahjong are available. Sets are provided, though players may bring their own; seating and sets are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
The Ferry Building, on the Embarcadero waterfront, is a San Francisco landmark whose marketplace houses nearly 50 local food merchants and restaurants. The mahjong meetup is a recurring weekly event.
