CISC Seattle's October 28 Service Day: Free Senior Medicare Counseling in Bellevue, Chinese Choir and English Classes, and Yoga

SEATTLE, King County, Washington — The Chinese Information and Service Center (CISC) ran a full day of community services across Seattle and the Eastside on October 28, with eight events on its calendar for the day, including senior Medicare counseling, English classes and a Chinese choir.
From 9 a.m. to noon, SHIBA consultation sessions at the North Bellevue Community Center (4063 148th Ave NE, Bellevue) offered free, unbiased one-on-one counseling to help seniors navigate Medicare and prescription drug coverage. A caregiver information and assistance workshop ran at the same hours at the Redmond Together Center.
Classes starting at 9:30 a.m. included basic and advanced English conversation — everyday phrases and simple dialogues for beginners, debates and presentations for advanced learners — and the Chinese choir class, singing Mandarin and regional folk songs until 11:30 a.m. A basic yoga class followed at 10:30 a.m., and a line dance class met in Bellevue at 1 p.m. CISC is a nonprofit serving immigrant communities across the greater Seattle area, with many programs aimed at Chinese seniors and families.
