Taiwan's Aeolus Robotics Showcases Aeobot in Dallas Taiwan Expo Podcast Interview: First US Pilots Target Data Center Night Security

DALLAS, Dallas County, Texas — An episode of Strait Forward, the podcast of the Special Competitive Studies Project (SCSP) released on October 27, featured an interview recorded live at the Dallas Taiwan Expo, in which host Channing Lee spoke with CH Wu of Taiwan's Aeolus Robotics about the company's service robot, the Aeobot. The Dallas Taiwan Expo itself was held September 24-26 this year; the interview was recorded at the expo and released this week.
According to the interview, Aeolus robots are already patrolling nursing homes in Taiwan and Japan, disinfecting airports and greeting visitors in public spaces. Next, the company is aiming its first US pilot deployments at data centers, which struggle to recruit enough overnight security staff.
Wu said in the interview that the robots are positioned to take over specific tasks rather than replace people, and that he sees strong complementarity between the United States and Taiwan in this field, pairing American software with Taiwanese hardware. For the Chinese community in the Dallas area, the Dallas Taiwan Expo serves both as a showcase for Taiwanese technology and as a bridge between local businesses and Taiwanese companies.
