Four Critically Hurt as Car Slams Into Phoenix Bus Stop at 46th Street and Baseline Road, Child and Teen Among the Injured

PHOENIX, Maricopa County, Arizona — A car slammed into a bus stop at the intersection of 46th Street and Baseline Road in Phoenix at about 8:15 a.m. on October 28, leaving four people critically injured, including a child and a teenager.
The Phoenix Fire Department said crews found the car inside the bus stop shelter, with one person trapped who had to be freed by ladder-company firefighters. Two adults, a child and a teenager were taken to hospitals in critical condition; another man was hospitalized in stable condition, and one adult declined transport. Phoenix police are investigating the cause; local outlets later reported that police identified speeding as one factor, with a Jeep and another vehicle colliding before one mounted the platform.
