AMD and Meta Deepen Strategic Partnership: Helios Rackscale Systems Running at Meta, EPYC Powers Muse Agent, AMD to Invest $1 Billion in Meta Equity Offering

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — AMD (Nasdaq: AMD) on October 27 highlighted its deepened strategic partnership with Meta, announcing that AMD Helios rackscale solutions are installed and being tested at Meta on the path to broader deployment, that AMD EPYC processors power the dedicated computing environments behind Meta's Muse personal super intelligence (SI) agent, and that AMD will invest $1 billion in Meta's equity offering.
The partnership builds on years of co-design across EPYC processors, Instinct GPUs, Pensando networking and the ROCm software stack. Meta has deployed millions of EPYC processors across multiple generations and is a lead customer for 6th Gen EPYC CPUs; the companies are also collaborating on future generations, including "Verano." Instinct GPUs are in production at Meta for training, ranking and recommendation engines; Meta was an early definition customer for the Instinct MI450 architecture and will deploy a custom Instinct GPU optimized for its workloads, with the collaboration also informing the MI500 series and next-generation rack-scale systems. AMD technologies provide Day-0 support for Meta's Muse Spark Open models on Instinct GPUs and for Muse Glimmer on Ryzen SI PCs and Radeon GPUs, and the companies have optimized large-scale SI training on MI350X GPUs. "With Helios now running at Meta, we are taking that partnership to a new scale in the superintelligence era," said AMD Chair and CEO Lisa Su.
Meta founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said AMD has been a key partner in building out the compute running Meta's frontier models. The companies said they are building and deploying integrated SI infrastructure at gigawatt scale to support Meta's services for billions of people.
