Culver City Launches FlashVote Survey Platform: One-Minute Monthly Surveys, Each Open for 48 Hours

CULVER CITY, Calif. — The City of Culver City, in Los Angeles County, announced on October 28 that it is working with the survey platform FlashVote to engage the community and gather input from residents to inform City decisions. Residents who sign up spend about one minute a month on City surveys — another way to be heard for people who cannot attend a public meeting.
Residents can sign up at flashvote.com/culvercityca (sign-up takes less than one minute) or by calling 775-235-2240 to participate by phone or text. When signing up, residents choose how to receive surveys — by email, text or phone call. Participants are notified whenever a new survey opens and have 48 hours to take part before it closes; once a survey closes, everyone who participated automatically receives a summary of the overall results and can see how their responses compare with the group. The City notes that input is always kept anonymous, and personal or demographic information collected by FlashVote is never shared with the City or anyone else.
"Good decisions start with understanding what matters most to the community," said City Manager Odis Jones, adding that not everyone can attend a public meeting but everyone deserves an opportunity to be heard, and that FlashVote will help the City connect with residents, better understand their priorities, and ensure community feedback helps guide City decisions. The City urges residents to sign up now so they do not miss the first survey.
