Robinhood Q3 Revenue Rises 12% to a Record $1.424 Billion: Net Income Falls 14% to $476 Million, EPS of $0.51 Misses Estimates

Brokerage platform Robinhood Markets reported third-quarter results on October 27, for the three months ended September 30: total net revenues of $1.424 billion, up 12% year over year and a quarterly record, but slightly below Wall Street expectations of about $1.43 billion; net income of $476 million, down 14%; and GAAP diluted earnings per share of $0.51, down 16% and below analysts' $0.55 estimate. The stock fell after hours.
Adjusted EPS of $0.60 beat the Zacks consensus of $0.56, giving a mixed picture: revenue still growing, profitability under pressure. Operating expenses rose 16% to $739 million, faster than revenue, raising margin concerns. Prediction-markets revenue reached $173 million in the quarter, a new growth point, while crypto trading cooled markedly. Robinhood shares are down about 20% this year, well behind the broader market. Full details are subject to the company's formal filing.
