Urinary Incontinence Public Health Lecture Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. PT on Zoom: Dr. Yang on Causes, Prevention and Treatment, Presented by the U.S. Shenzhen Federation

The U.S. Shenzhen Federation's public-interest medical lecture series holds its latest session online via Zoom on Wednesday, October 28 at 6 p.m. Pacific Time. Titled "Don't Let Embarrassment Steal Your Life," the free session focuses on urinary incontinence and is presented by Dr. Yang, president of California University Silicon Valley.
The talk covers four topics: the common types and real causes of urinary incontinence; what listeners need to know about the condition; what can be done in daily life to say goodbye to leakage; and an introduction to professional treatment options. The organizers note that leakage is not a natural part of aging but the body asking for help, and that symptoms should be understood and addressed early rather than endured in embarrassment.
The session is suited to new mothers, women in menopause, women who leak when coughing, sneezing or laughing, and women who make frequent bathroom trips or wake often at night; family members who care about their loved ones' health are also welcome.
Dr. Yang is a well-known Silicon Valley practitioner of traditional Chinese medicine for chronic conditions, with 29 years of clinical experience, and serves as president and professor of California University Silicon Valley. The lecture is part of the university's weekly Wednesday public medical-education series on diseases and wellness, shared with the U.S. Shenzhen Federation, with FRESH LEMON, a Chinese health-literacy group, among the collaborating partners.
To join: at 6 p.m. Pacific on Wednesday, October 28 (8 p.m. Central, 9 p.m. Eastern; 9 a.m. Thursday in China), open Zoom and enter meeting ID 271 346 4046 with passcode 6868, or use the session link: Join the Zoom meeting. This lecture is health education only and does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment; please see a doctor if symptoms persist.
