Irvine Traffic Advisory Oct 28–Nov 4: SR-55 to I-405 Connector Closed Overnight Through Oct 31, Plus SR-133 and Street Work
The City of Irvine, in Orange County, California, has issued its roadway improvement and traffic advisory for October 28 through November 4, with several freeway connectors closing overnight and neighborhood street work running through late November.
On the freeways: the southbound SR-55 connector to southbound I-405 is closed overnight through Saturday, October 31, from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m., as part of the Orange County Transportation Authority's SR-55 Improvement Project; details are on OCTA's SR-55 construction page. Southbound SR-133 between I-5 and Great Park Boulevard is closed through Thursday, October 29, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The MacArthur Boulevard on-ramp to northbound SR-73 closes Thursday, October 29 and Friday, October 30, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
On city streets: street rehabilitation and slurry seal work in the Quail Hill neighborhood starts Monday, November 2, weekdays 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and drivers should expect delays. Orchard Hills Drive (Furrow to New Point) rehabilitation runs weekdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through November 30. Widening at the Jamboree Road and Main Street intersection continues weekdays 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through winter.
