FirstCash of Fort Worth, Texas, Announces a $200 Million Increase to Its Share Repurchase Authorization on October 28, Bringing the Total to $350 Million

FirstCash Holdings, Inc., headquartered in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, announced on October 28 that its board of directors has increased the company's stock repurchase authorization by $200 million, bringing the total authorization under the program to $350 million. FirstCash is an international operator of more than 3,300 retail pawn stores. According to the company, under the existing repurchase program authorized in July 2026 it has so far repurchased 644,000 shares of its common stock at an average price of $199.46 per share, for an aggregate $128 million; with the increased authorization, as of the market open on October 28, $222 million of authorization remained under the program. CEO Rick Wessel said the significantly increased authorization is intended to opportunistically return value to shareholders as the company sees a growing disconnect between its current valuation and its progress toward long-term growth objectives; the company's foremost strategic focus remains growing its core pawn business globally through accretive acquisitions and new store openings, with significant opportunities to add stores in every operating region. Wessel added that the ability to fund store growth while expanding the repurchase program reflects the continued strength of the balance sheet, record free cash flow and a recently expanded unsecured revolving credit facility.
