Coastal Flood Advisory for San Diego County Through Thursday: Record High Tides Possible, Some Communities Already Flooded

A Coastal Flood Advisory issued by the National Weather Service for the San Diego County coastline in California remains in effect through Thursday, October 29, and the County of San Diego advises coastal residents that record-breaking high tides are possible this week, with some coastal communities already experiencing flooding.
According to the county news center, the weather service issued the advisory last Sunday for the county's shoreline. During high-tide periods, low-lying coastal areas, parking lots and beachside roads may see standing water, and residents and visitors should watch tide times and avoid flooded roadways.
The county says it will relay further updates from the weather service while the advisory lasts; residents in low-lying coastal neighborhoods may want to move vehicles to higher ground and follow the latest county and weather service bulletins.
