Malaysia's Asia OneHealthcare Files Draft IPO Prospectus: Up to 4.38 Billion Shares, 23 Hospitals and RM344.4 Million Annual Profit

Thursday, October 29, 2026 · World · GSM News

Malaysian hospital operator Asia OneHealthcare has filed a draft prospectus for an initial public offering of up to 4.38 billion shares and a planned listing on Bursa Malaysia, according to the draft posted on the Securities Commission Malaysia's website on October 28. The draft prospectus did not disclose the offer price, deal size or a listing date.

The offering involves the sale of up to 3.86 billion existing shares by HLT Healthcare Holdings Singapore, through which US private equity firm TPG controls the operator, and the issue of 521.1 million new shares by the company. Up to 3.77 billion shares will be offered to Malaysian and foreign institutional investors, and 615.5 million shares to its managing director, employees, people who contributed to the group and the Malaysian public. HLT would retain a 73.9% stake after the IPO if an over-allotment option is not used; the option covers the sale of up to a further 657.1 million existing shares. Proceeds from the new shares will fund hospital expansion, facility and equipment maintenance, partial debt repayment and IPO expenses.

Asia OneHealthcare operates 23 hospitals, 22 in Malaysia and one in Vietnam. It made a net profit of RM344.4 million in the year ended March 2026, compared with a net loss of RM85.8 million a year earlier, while revenue rose 13.6% to RM3.29 billion. Reuters reported in April that TPG had hired Maybank and UBS to explore options including a domestic listing that could value the company at about RM30 billion ($7.4 billion).
