Los Angeles Ballet's The Nutcracker Opens December 11: 17 Performances at UCLA Royce Hall and the Dolby Theatre
Los Angeles Ballet performs Tchaikovsky's holiday classic The Nutcracker from December 11 to 27, 2026, in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California: December 11 to 13 at Royce Hall on the UCLA campus, then December 18 to 27 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, for 17 performances in total.
According to the company's season page, this production is choreographed by Thordal Christensen and Colleen Neary and reimagines the story with Southern California imagery, including a Hancock Park home, Big Bear and Venice Beach. Performances at the Dolby Theatre feature the Los Angeles Ballet Orchestra conducted by Gavriel Heine. A sensory-friendly performance, presented with the Autism Society of Los Angeles, is scheduled for December 26 at 2 p.m. at the Dolby Theatre, with reduced sound and lighting and relaxed house rules.
