LA Zoo Lights: Animals Aglow Runs on Select Nights November 20 to January 10: Giant Animal Lanterns and a New Ice Rink
The Los Angeles Zoo in Griffith Park, Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, presents its annual LA Zoo Lights: Animals Aglow on select nights from November 20, 2026, to January 10, 2027, open each event night from 6 to 10 p.m.
According to the zoo's event and FAQ pages, this year's edition is themed on plants and pollinators, with oversized lantern sculptures of birds, butterflies, insects, marine creatures and Ice Age giants, plus a new artificial ice rink (skating is separately ticketed). A sensory-inclusive night is set for December 8 and Pride Night for December 17; the show is dark on November 26 and 30, December 1, 7, 14 to 16, 24, 25 and 31, and January 4 to 7. The zoo is at 5333 Zoo Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90027, and parking is free.

Cost: this is a ticketed event; official FAQ pricing lists non-member adults at $29 and children at $19 on value weekdays, $32 and $22 on value weekends, and $35 and $25 on holiday peak dates, with member discounts and free admission for children under 2.
