Chamblee, DeKalb County, Georgia: Atlanta Chinatown Holds Halloween Market Oct. 31, 4–9 p.m., With Costume Contest and Chinatown-Wide Trick-or-Treating
Atlanta Chinatown will hold a Halloween market and trick-or-treat event on Saturday, October 31, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Atlanta Chinatown, 5383 New Peachtree Road in Chamblee, DeKalb County, in a family-friendly evening. The market will bring together vendors from the Atlanta area and local Chinese small businesses from the Chinatown mall, offering food and merchandise, with live music, a Halloween photo booth and a costume contest with prizes; shops across the whole Chinatown mall will join in trick-or-treating, and residents are invited to bring children in Halloween costumes.
Atlanta Chinatown has said the market welcomes families for a community-filled evening with food and music as well as light scares suitable for children, and vendor recruitment is still under way, with prospective vendors able to apply through the organizer's published channels. One of the earlier Chinatown retail complexes in the southeastern United States, Atlanta Chinatown houses a food court, a supermarket, a bookstore, an art gallery, a toy shop and other Chinese businesses, and community events such as its Mid-Autumn Festival market are regularly held there.
