Spain's Madrid: CEPYME and China's ACFIC Sign Memorandum to Help SMEs in Both Countries Trade and Invest

Madrid, Spain, saw a new deal aimed at small businesses on October 28, 2026, when the Spanish Confederation of Small and Medium Enterprises (CEPYME) and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce (ACFIC) signed a memorandum of understanding in Madrid to promote economic cooperation between SMEs in Spain and China, opening more trade and investment channels for small firms, including the Chinese business community operating in Spain.
The memorandum was signed at CEPYME's headquarters by CEPYME president Ángela de Miguel and ACFIC vice president An Lijia.
According to CEPYME, the agreement aims to create a favourable environment for cooperation between Spanish and Chinese companies and to provide them with the support they need to develop commercial activities and investment projects of mutual interest.
The cooperation will include organising economic and trade forums, promoting projects, and holding seminars and training activities.
ACFIC is a nationwide organisation in China that brings together 3,000 chambers of commerce. CEPYME is the representative body for small and medium-sized enterprises in Spain and is headquartered in Madrid.
