Ford Recalls 11,623 Lincoln Hybrid SUVs That May Unexpectedly Shift Into Neutral: 11,560 Nautilus and 63 Corsair Hybrids

Ford Motor Company is recalling a total of 11,623 Lincoln hybrid SUVs: 11,560 of certain 2026-2027 Lincoln Nautilus Hybrid models and 63 of the 2027 Lincoln Corsair Hybrid. According to a recall report filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), corrosion in the transmission's park lock actuator circuit board could cause the vehicles to unexpectedly shift into neutral while driving, leading to a sudden loss of drive power and increasing the risk of a crash.

According to the recall report, when the condition occurs, a wrench-shaped malfunction indicator light illuminates on the instrument cluster and a popup reading "Service Vehicle Soon" or "Shifting System Error" appears on the display. The component at issue is the Integrated Park Module (IPM), which keeps the transmission locked in park when the driver presses the brake pedal.

Ford estimates that 100 percent of the vehicles in the recall population are affected. As of September 28, 2026, Ford was aware of 15 warranty claims, one field report and one customer report in the United States related to the condition; as of October 20, Ford was not aware of any accidents, fires or injuries related to the issue.

The remedy is free: dealers will replace the Integrated Park Module (IPM) at no charge. Ford's number for this recall is 26S75, and owner communications are expected to begin on November 2. Transport Canada has issued a parallel recall (No. 2026509) for the same defect with the same corrective action.

Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332, check whether their vehicle is included by entering its vehicle identification number (VIN) on the NHTSA website, or call the NHTSA Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236.
