Merck Q3 Sales Rise 5% to $18.1 Billion on $8.6 Billion KEYTRUDA Sales; Full-Year Sales Outlook Raised

Pharmaceutical company Merck & Co., Inc. (NYSE: MRK), headquartered in Rahway, New Jersey and known as MSD outside the United States and Canada, announced third-quarter 2026 results on October 29: worldwide sales were $18.085 billion, up 5% (up 4% excluding foreign exchange), and the company narrowed and raised its full-year outlook, now expecting sales of $66.8 billion to $67.3 billion.
Cancer drug KEYTRUDA and its subcutaneous version KEYTRUDA QLEX together generated $8.601 billion in sales, up 6%, including $830 million from KEYTRUDA QLEX. Pulmonary arterial hypertension drug WINREVAIR sales were $694 million, up 93%; HPV vaccine GARDASIL/GARDASIL 9 sales were $1.995 billion, up 14%; and Animal Health sales were $1.676 billion, up 4%.
GAAP net income was $5.065 billion, or $2.04 per share, and non-GAAP net income was $6.159 billion, or $2.49 per share; both EPS figures include a one-time charge of $0.12 per share related to a global license agreement with SciBrunch Therapeutics. The company narrowed its full-year non-GAAP EPS range to $2.77 to $2.82 and raised the midpoint, with the outlook also including that charge.
On the pipeline, Merck presented first-time pivotal Phase 3 data across its oncology portfolio at the ESMO Congress 2026, including the TroFuse-005 trial of antibody-drug conjugate sac-TMT in advanced or recurrent endometrial cancer, for which the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has accepted a Biologics License Application for priority review, and the INTerpath-001 trial of therapeutic cancer vaccine intismeran autogene plus KEYTRUDA as adjuvant treatment for resected melanoma, developed with Moderna.
Chairman and CEO Robert M. Davis said the company's science-led strategy is transforming the business, that the oncology advances presented at ESMO further clinically de-risk the substantial long-term opportunity of its late-phase pipeline, and that he is increasingly confident in Merck's ability to deliver long-term value for patients and shareholders.
