Carrier Global Corporation (NYSE: CARR), headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, reported third-quarter 2026 results on October 29: net sales were $6.263 billion, up 12% year over year, with organic sales up 15%. Total company orders rose about 35%, data center orders rose about 300%, and backlog exceeded a record $8.5 billion, up about 60% from a year earlier.

On a GAAP basis, the company posted an operating loss of $2.273 billion and a net loss from continuing operations of $2.593 billion, or a loss of $3.16 per share, driven mainly by a non-cash goodwill impairment charge of about $3.1 billion related to its Climate Solutions Europe reporting unit. Adjusted operating profit rose 33% to $1.091 billion, and adjusted EPS rose 30% to $0.87. The quarter also included about $130 million of operating profit benefit from IEEPA refunds.

By segment, Climate Solutions Americas sales rose 24% to $3.354 billion; Climate Solutions Europe sales rose 3% to $1.335 billion; Climate Solutions Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa sales rose 2% to $848 million; and Climate Solutions Transportation sales fell 3% to $726 million.

Operating cash flow was $813 million and free cash flow was $674 million, and the company returned about $600 million to shareowners through dividends and repurchases in the quarter. Carrier raised its full-year 2026 guidance to sales of $23.8 billion to $24.0 billion with organic growth of about 10% and adjusted EPS of $2.85 to $2.90, and expects to return about $2.3 billion to shareowners for the year.

Chairman and CEO David Gitlin said orders, sales and adjusted EPS all grew between 15% and 35% in the quarter, with data center orders up about 300%, and that record backlog gives the company confidence to sustain the momentum into 2027 and beyond.
