Simon Guobadia, Ex-Husband of 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' Star Porsha Williams, Indicted on Federal Tax Charges

Simon Guobadia, the ex-husband of Porsha Williams, a star of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has been indicted in federal court in Georgia on two counts of assisting in the preparation and filing of a false federal tax return, TMZ reported on October 29, citing court documents. The indictment was filed on Tuesday, October 27.

According to prosecutors, Guobadia filed paperwork in March 2021 reporting $0 in taxable income, despite allegedly knowing that he had made more than he reported. The government also alleges that he underreported sales for his company, Simcol Petroleum Limited, which listed more than $45 million in gross sales on the paperwork.

Prosecutors say it happened again in July 2021, when Guobadia allegedly reported just $58,231 in taxable income while his company listed nearly $31 million in gross sales. The government claims he knew his taxable income and gross sales were actually higher than what he reported.

Court records also show that an arrest warrant was issued for Guobadia, though it is unclear whether he has been taken into custody. An indictment is an allegation only, and Guobadia has not been convicted; TMZ's report did not include a public response from him or his lawyer.

Guobadia and Williams married in November 2022, and Williams filed for divorce in February 2024 after about 15 months of marriage. As TMZ previously reported, Williams prevailed in their divorce battle earlier this year, securing the couple's multimillion-dollar Atlanta mansion and a seven-figure settlement. Guobadia was also deported from the United States in 2025 amid immigration issues.
