Starz Q3 Revenue Rises 0.5% to $322.4 Million as Net Loss Narrows to $34.8 Million on Streaming Growth

Thursday, October 29, 2026 · Finance · GSM News

Starz reported third-quarter results on October 29: total revenue rose 0.5 percent to $322.4 million, ahead of Wall Street expectations of $319.5 million, while the net loss narrowed to $34.8 million, or $2.02 a share, from $52.6 million a year earlier — better than the expected loss of $2.96 a share. Shares rose about 3 percent in after-hours trading.

Streaming revenue grew 1.7 percent to $226.6 million, helped by annual subscribers renewing at higher prices and an April price increase; adjusted for the shift of the Canadian business to a content licensing model, streaming revenue growth would have been 3.2 percent. Linear and other revenue fell to $95.8 million.

President and CEO Jeffrey Hirsch said the company's strategy remains focused on expanding content ownership, strengthening distribution partnerships and reaching subscribers through traditional providers, standalone streaming subscriptions and bundles.

Titles including 'Power Book III: Raising Kanan,' the company's first wholly owned original 'Fightland,' 'Outlander: Blood of My Blood' Season 2 and 'Michael' — the best-performing Pay 1 title in Starz history — drove record engagement among long-tenured app subscribers. The company maintained its 2026 outlook.
