YouTube Premium and YouTube Music Pass 150 Million Subscribers as Q3 Ad Revenue Tops $11.2 Billion
YouTube now has more than 150 million subscribers across its YouTube Premium and YouTube Music services, Alphabet CEO Sundar Pichai announced during the company's third-quarter earnings call on October 29, The Hollywood Reporter reported.
The milestone is up from the 125 million subscribers (including trials) the company disclosed last year, underlining how subscription has become a major business for YouTube alongside video advertising.
YouTube's advertising sales also rose in the quarter, to more than $11.2 billion from $10.3 billion a year ago, roughly on par with the second quarter.
