Salina, Saline County, Kansas: President Donald Trump has canceled a campaign rally planned for October 31 at Salina Regional Airport in Kansas, the Kansas Republican Party confirmed on October 29.

Salina Airport Authority executive director Peter Miller said the airport was told the rally was canceled because of scheduling conflicts, and that as of midday October 29 the event page was still online. Kansas GOP spokesperson Laura Francis said Trump is shifting from in-person rallies to tele-town halls to reach more voters nationally, with no details yet on the calls. Trump and Vice President JD Vance have both campaigned in Kansas for Senator Roger Marshall and other Republican candidates.

A CNN poll released the same day showed Marshall trailing Democratic challenger Adam Hamilton 49% to 45%, a four-point gap. Democrats have not won a Senate election in Kansas since 1932, while Trump carried the state by 16 points in the 2024 presidential election. The poll was conducted by the nonpartisan research firm SSRS over the past week online and by phone, with a margin of error of plus or minus 4.2 to 4.7 percentage points.
