White House: Early Voting Ends Soon, Make Your Plan to Vote Before Election Day on November 3
The White House sent voters a reminder on October 29: early voting for the 2026 midterm elections ends soon, Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, and voters can vote early in person, vote by mail, or vote on Election Day, and should not let work, weather or long lines on Election Day keep them from voting.
Many states let voters vote in person before Election Day. Voters who already have a mail ballot should return it as soon as possible; many states offer official drop boxes or drop-off at the election office, and some states require ballots to arrive by Election Day, so mail voters should not wait until the last minute.
Request deadlines have passed in many states for voters who do not yet have a ballot; those voters should vote early in person or on Election Day instead. The White House urged voters to know where their polling place is and to share voting information with friends and family.
