The Brooklyn Museum, at 200 Eastern Parkway in Brooklyn, Kings County, New York, is presenting Art of Manga, on view from October 3, 2026, through January 31, 2027. It is the first major exhibition in the Americas to explore manga, Japanese comics and graphic novels, as an art form, and this presentation marks its East Coast debut.

The exhibition is packed with more than 600 drawings, including examples from series such as Inuyasha, JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, Ooku: The Inner Chambers and ONE PIECE, showcasing manga's immersive power and social impact. Art of Manga is organized by the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and curated at both venues by Nicole Coolidge Rousmaniere. The Brooklyn Museum presentation is organized by Joan Cummins, Curatorial Chair and Senior Curator of Asian Art, and Pauline Vermare, Curator of Photography, with Yara Doumani, Curatorial Assistant.

The museum launched a Manga Fan Pass with Anime NYC ahead of the exhibition, offering pass holders unlimited entry to Art of Manga throughout its run for one adult and a guest, together with general admission. The exhibition uses timed entry, with museum hours Wednesdays to Sundays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and last exhibition entry at 5 p.m.; exhibition tickets include general admission.
