In Lowell, a city in Middlesex County, Massachusetts, officers with the U.S. Marshals Service District of Massachusetts Fugitive Task Force, working with the Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section and the Lowell and Methuen police departments, arrested Daquhan Cromer, 29, around noon on October 28.

Cromer is charged in Lowell District Court with two counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, one count of threatening to commit a crime and one count of felony vandalism. He was also wanted on an unrelated escape warrant from Salem, New Hampshire, after fleeing New Hampshire authorities on October 27, an incident that prompted a shelter-in-place notice in Salem.

Cromer has been arraigned and is being held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing scheduled for Monday, November 2, which the Middlesex County District Attorney's office moved to hold.

The Marshals Service noted that the charges are accusations and that Cromer is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
