Recall: About 11,000 RootStim Minoxidil Hair Regrowth Bottles Lack Child-Resistant Packaging, Posing a Risk of Serious Injury or Death From Child Poisoning

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced on October 29 that RootStim LLC is recalling about 11,000 bottles of RootStim minoxidil hair regrowth treatment, under recall number 27-058.
The recall covers three products: RootStim 5% Minoxidil Foam Hair Regrowth Treatment with Rosemary and Biotin, 6 fl. oz., sold as three 2 fl. oz. pump-foam bottles in a blue and white box with an orange accent band (UPC 810169130594); RootStim Minoxidil Hair Regrowth Treatment 5% Rosemary & Biotin spray, 2 fl. oz., in a magenta box (UPC 810169301005); and RootStim Minoxidil Hair Regrowth Treatment 5% Minoxidil with Rosemary serum, 4 fl. oz., sold as two 2 fl. oz. amber glass spray bottles in a blue and white box (UPC 810169301012).
Minoxidil products are required to be sold in child-resistant packaging under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act, but the bottles in this recall are not child-resistant. A child who ingests minoxidil faces a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning. No incidents had been reported as of the announcement.
Consumers should immediately secure the products out of the sight and reach of children and contact RootStim for replacement instructions: write 'RECALLED' on the bottle, discard it, and email a photo to [email protected]. RootStim can be reached at 202-743-1714 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or online at rootstim.com by clicking 'Recall' at the top of the page.
The products were sold on Amazon.com from August 2025 through February 2026 for between $20 and $40. The seller is RootStim LLC of New York, New York.
