Milwaukee — WEC Energy Group (NYSE: WEC) on October 29 reported third-quarter 2026 net income of $389.3 million, or $1.18 per diluted share, up from $271.3 million, or 83 cents per share, in last year's third quarter. Operating revenues for the quarter totaled $2.2906 billion, up from $2.1040 billion a year earlier.

For the nine months ended September 30, 2026, net income attributed to common shareholders was $1.4929 billion, or $4.54 per share, up from $1.2409 billion, or $3.85 per share, in the corresponding period a year ago. Consolidated revenues for the nine months were $7.7869 billion, up $523.9 million from a year earlier.

"Our strong results were driven by warmer-than-normal weather, execution of our capital plan and operating efficiency," said Scott Lauber, chairman, president and chief executive officer. "Our continued focus on the fundamentals of our business is creating value for our customers and stockholders. We remain on track to deliver solid financial and operational performance in 2026."

Retail deliveries of electricity rose 3.3 percent in the third quarter, excluding the iron ore mine in Michigan's Upper Peninsula and Very Large Customers in Wisconsin. Residential electricity use rose 5.1 percent, small commercial and industrial use rose 3.5 percent, and large commercial and industrial use rose 1.0 percent. On a weather-normal basis, retail deliveries increased 0.4 percent.

Largely due to favorable weather and capital investment supported by the Very Large Customers, the company raised and narrowed its 2026 earnings guidance to a range of $5.60 to $5.64 per share, from the previously announced $5.51 to $5.61, assuming normal weather for the remainder of the year. Dividends per share of common stock were $0.9525 for the quarter; per-share figures are on a fully diluted basis.
