KeyBank Foundation Commits $250,000 in Maine: $150,000 for Lewiston Youth Program, $100,000 for Community Health Workers

The KeyBank Foundation announced on October 30 that it has committed a combined $250,000 to two Maine organizations supporting youth development, workforce readiness and community health: $150,000 to Tree Street Youth in Lewiston and $100,000 to MaineHealth.
The three-year, $150,000 grant supports Tree Street Youth's BRANCHES program (Becoming Responsible Adults 'N Cultivating Higher Education Success) in Lewiston. Serving approximately 1,200 young people each year, the program provides academic support, mentoring, social-emotional development, workforce readiness training, and college and career preparation. Executive Director Julia Sleeper said the investment strengthens the organization's ability to walk alongside young people through critical transitions in school and life.
MaineHealth received $100,000 over two years to enhance its Community Health Worker initiative, which helps individuals and families navigate healthcare systems and connect with resources addressing housing instability, food insecurity, transportation barriers and financial hardship. KeyBank has supported the initiative since 2021.
Eric Fiala, CEO of the KeyBank Foundation, said the investments reflect the foundation's commitment to expanding opportunity and strengthening communities. Tony DiSotto, Maine Market President for KeyBank, said the bank is proud to support organizations helping Maine residents achieve better educational, economic and health outcomes.
