Cerritos Launches Full-Service Online Permitting Hub for Residential and Commercial Projects

Cerritos Mayor Lynda Provido Johnson announced in her October 30 column that the City of Cerritos, in Los Angeles County, California, this week launched a new full-service online permitting hub for the Departments of Community Development and Public Works.
According to the column, the hub streamlines permitting and approvals for residential, commercial and industrial development projects, excavation and encroachment work, building and safety services and inspections, and landscaping approvals, supporting economic development across the city. The city also noted October business news: Champion Pharmacy's grand opening at 13434 Artesia Boulevard, Club Pilates doubling its studio at 11900 South Street, and the launch of the Shop Cerritos video series.
The column added that a capacity field registered for the Tees & Tacos Tournament at the Cerritos Iron-Wood Nine Golf Course on October 23, and that the city hosted a well-attended Health and Wellness Fair for seniors. Ahead of possible El Niño storm conditions, residents can obtain free sandbags at local fire stations and free sand at the Cerritos Corporate Yard parking lot, 16540 Marquart Avenue, with no appointment necessary.
Johnson said a prepared and engaged community is key to Cerritos's quality of life, and the city looks forward to more opportunities to connect with residents entering the holiday season.
