Southern California Beijing Hometown Association (In Formation) Opens Community Group for Beijing Natives in Southern California

A new organization has appeared in the Chinese community of Southern California: the Southern California Beijing Hometown Association, still in formation, has opened a WeChat community group and is inviting Beijing natives living in Southern California to join.
According to the group's announcement, the association is in its preparatory stage, and the group was created to give Beijing natives in Southern California a platform for friendly exchange, resource sharing, and mutual support. Beijing natives and their family and friends are welcome.
Hometown associations are among the most common mutual-aid organizations in overseas Chinese communities, and several provincial and city hometown associations are already active in Southern California's community services and festivals. GSM will follow the new association's preparatory progress and public activities.
