Thousands Celebrate Halloween at Bloomington's Ninth Annual Trunk or Treat

Ayala Park in Bloomington, an unincorporated community in San Bernardino County, California, came alive on the evening of October 24, as more than 3,500 residents and guests in Halloween costumes gathered for the Bloomington Recreation and Park District's ninth annual Trunk or Treat.
More than 40 decorated vehicle trunks, hosted by county departments, community partners and local families, lined the park for trick-or-treating children dressed as everything from superheroes and princesses to ghosts and ghouls. The evening also featured a costume contest, a Best Trunk contest, food vendors and a live DJ; San Bernardino County Fire brought apparatus for families to see up close, and the Sheriff's Department's Fontana Station helped keep the busy evening safe.
The Bloomington Recreation and Park District is part of San Bernardino County Public Works' Special Districts arm and runs the community's parks and recreation programming. During the event the district recognized Board of Supervisors Vice Chair and Fifth District Supervisor Joe Baca, Jr. and his office for their support of local parks and community programs. The county said the celebration has become a Halloween tradition and will return for its tenth edition next year.
