Pink Martini Opens the San Francisco Symphony Holiday Season on December 2

Davies Symphony Hall (201 Van Ness Ave) in San Francisco, California, welcomes Pink Martini, the self-described "little orchestra," on December 2. The concert opens the San Francisco Symphony's holiday season, which runs December 2–23, with conductor Edwin Outwater leading the orchestra.
Founded in Portland, Oregon, in 1994 by pianist Thomas Lauderdale and fronted by singer China Forbes, Pink Martini is known for multilingual retro-pop programs that move between French chanson, Cuban rhythms, Turkish folk songs, Brazilian samba and the Great American Songbook, making the band a family-friendly holiday favorite.
The December 2 performance is the first of a dense three-week holiday calendar at Davies Hall that also includes Handel's Messiah, a family concert and a Broadway evening.
Tickets for all holiday-season concerts are on sale through the San Francisco Symphony website and the box office at (415) 864-6000.
