LAPL Stages 'Lighting the Stacks' at Central Library December 12 as Its Centennial Finale

Central Library (630 W. 5th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90071) in downtown Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, stages "Lighting the Stacks" on December 12 from noon to 3:30 p.m., free to attend.
Billed as a historical drama and living-history museum, the production pairs the Los Angeles Public Library with LAUSD: student performers portray figures from the library's hundred years, telling the story of the 1926 landmark throughout the building. It is a closing highlight of the Central 100 centennial celebrations.
The library sits above the Westlawn Garage (show a library card at the information desk for the $1 validation rate, per library rules) and is steps from Metro A and B Line stations.
All LAPL programs are free; the full calendar is on the library website.
