Saturday, October 31, 2026 · Culture & Travel · GSM News

The Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, in Fort Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, opened its collection exhibition In the Making: Stories from the Collection on October 31. It runs through August 15, 2027, at 3200 Darnell Street.

Built from the museum's own collection, the exhibition unfolds in ten stories over its run, tracing formal and conceptual themes of the past eighty years of modern and contemporary art, including colour, brushwork, materials, the figure and inspiration from the land. Works on view include Edward Ruscha's Standard Station (1966) and Judy Chicago's Pasadena Lifesaver (1969).

The exhibition is the centrepiece of the museum's programme leading to December 2027, the 25th anniversary of its Tadao Ando building. The galleries were closed through October for installation, and a free opening night, with reservations required, was held on October 30 from 7 to 10 p.m. Regular admission details are on the museum's website.
