Blue Jackets Activate Defenseman Ivan Provorov: Returns After Missing 11 Games to Face Dallas Stars
Columbus, Franklin County, Ohio — The Columbus Blue Jackets announced on October 31 that they have activated defenseman Ivan Provorov off injured reserve, and he will return that night on the road against the Dallas Stars. Club President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Don Waddell announced the move.
Provorov, 29, missed the first 11 games of the 2026-27 season with a lower-body injury suffered in a preseason game at the Detroit Red Wings on September 26. Over 10 NHL seasons with the Blue Jackets and Philadelphia Flyers, he has recorded 86 goals and 227 assists for 313 points in 778 games.
Columbus faces Dallas at American Airlines Center at 8 p.m. ET on October 31, with the game televised on the Blue Jackets Hockey Network beginning with a 30-minute pregame show at 7:30 p.m.
