New York City, New York County, New York: Manhattan's Chinatown held its annual Trick-or-Streets Halloween celebration on the afternoon of October 31, closing Mott Street to traffic for a free, family-friendly street festival.

The event ran from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Mott Street between Canal Street and Bayard Street, with free admission open to all ages. The Chinatown Business Improvement District/Partnership brought the celebration back for 2026, co-hosting with Chung Pak LDC, the Kiwanis Club of Community Care NYC, Immigrant Social Services, Cathay Bank and other community organizations, businesses and performers, alongside the city transportation department's Open Streets program.

Activities along the closed block included trick-or-treating and giveaways, an acrobatic parade, a photo booth, face painting and balloon twisting, a live DJ and entertainment, family games and community resource tables.

Organizers invited families to come in costume and join the afternoon of Halloween festivities on Mott Street, in the heart of one of the oldest Chinatowns in the United States.
