Eagles Cornerback Bennett Ruled Out Against Washington: Six Players Out as Philadelphia Tries to End a Five-Game Skid

Saturday, October 31, 2026 · Sports · GSM News

Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania: The Philadelphia Eagles announced on Saturday, October 31, that cornerback Jakorian Bennett will miss the Week 8 game against the Washington Commanders on Sunday night, November 2, after the team downgraded him from questionable to out.

Bennett, 25, is recovering from a knee injury and remains on injured reserve. He practiced in full for three straight days, but the Eagles did not activate him to the 53-man roster before Sunday's game. His 21-day practice window opened on October 14, and he also missed Monday night's game against Dallas for the same reason.

Bennett's absence brings the Eagles' official list of players ruled out against Washington to six: wide receivers DeVonta Smith (hamstring), Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) and Britain Covey (knee), linebacker Jihaad Campbell (hamstring/quad) and cornerback Jonathan Jones (hamstring).

Philadelphia is 2-5 and on a five-game losing streak. The Eagles visit the Commanders at Northwest Stadium at 8:20 p.m. Eastern on Sunday, on NBC, seeking their first victory since Week 2.
