Cowboys Activate Safety Locke and Elevate Tight End Mitchell ahead of Cardinals Game

Dallas, Dallas County, Texas — The Dallas Cowboys announced roster moves on October 31: safety P.J. Locke has been activated from the reserve/injured-designated for return list, and tight end James Mitchell has been elevated from the practice squad to the active roster.
In recent weeks the Cowboys have rotated Caleb Downs, Markquese Bell and Alijah Clark at safety opposite Malik Hooker, and Locke's return adds depth at the position. At tight end, Luke Schoonmaker is questionable with a groin injury and did not practice Thursday or Friday; if he cannot play, Mitchell could be active for the November 1 game against the Arizona Cardinals.
Wide receiver George Pickens (shoulder/hamstring) and defensive tackle Kenny Clark (back) are also questionable for the November 1 game.
