Boonion Station Returns to Los Angeles Union Station Today: Free Halloween Party With Trick-or-Treating and a Costume Contest

Los Angeles Union Station, in the city of Los Angeles in Los Angeles County, California, hosts the seventh annual Boonion Station Halloween party today. The event runs Saturday, October 31, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the station's South Patio, is free for all ages, and requires no tickets.
The historic 1939 terminal turns its South Patio into a Halloween bash with Treats-on-Track trick-or-treating, face painting, balloon artists, stilt walkers and a DJ. The costume contest is judged by Los Angeles Police Department officers, with categories for ages 12 and under, tweens and teens, 18 and over, and family or duo entries.
Metro Art presents Once Upon a Monster at this year's event, a hands-on station where children build their own monsters from googly eyes, teeth, tongues, horns and more. Los Angeles Poet Laureate Brian Sonia-Wallace also staffs a Monster Poetry Booth, writing personalized poems for young visitors.
Union Station is at 800 N Alameda Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012, reachable directly by Metro A, B, D and J Line trains as well as Metrolink and Amtrak. Parking at Union Station East or West starts at $8.
