Canelo Alvarez Returns Tonight in Riyadh to Challenge Unbeaten WBC Champion Christian Mbilli

Mexican star Saul Canelo Alvarez returns to the ring on Saturday, October 31, at the ANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, to challenge WBC super middleweight champion Christian Mbilli. It is Alvarez's first fight in 13 months, since his loss to Terence Crawford in September 2025, as he attempts to become a world super middleweight champion once again.
According to broadcaster DAZN, the card airs live and exclusively on DAZN Pay-Per-View at $79.99 in the United States, and is included for eligible DAZN Ultimate subscribers. Coverage begins at 1 p.m. ET (10 a.m. PT), with the main event ringwalks scheduled for approximately 4:30 p.m. ET (1:30 p.m. PT), subject to change.
Mbilli, 31, is unbeaten at 29-0-1 with 24 knockouts and is entering his prime years, while Alvarez stands at 63-3-2 with 39 knockouts. DAZN notes questions hang over how much Alvarez has left after the Crawford defeat, though the Mexican insists there is still plenty left in the tank.
The undercard features two more title fights: Jaime Munguia defends his WBA super middleweight title against Nikita Zon, and Rafael Espinoza defends his WBO featherweight title against Ricardo Blandon, plus a super featherweight bout between Raymond Rojas Garcia and Reito Tsutsumi.
