Arrest in Anza Remains Case: Hemet Man Joseph Rainey Taken Into Custody
The Riverside County Sheriff's Office, in California, reported that on October 23 at 2:29 p.m., deputies from the Hemet Station responded to Bautista Canyon Road and Willis Road in Anza, where they located the remains of an adult female. The Sheriff's Central Homicide Unit assumed the investigation.
Investigators identified Joseph Rainey, a 40-year-old resident of Hemet, as a suspect. On October 29, Rainey was located in the 1400 block of State Street and taken into custody without incident.
The Sheriff's Office did not release the victim's identity or further details, and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Media Information Bureau.
