Riverside Sheriff's Office Awarded $1,442,000 Grant for Speeding and Reckless Driving Program

The Riverside County Sheriff's Office, in California, announced it has been awarded a $1,442,000 grant for a program targeting speeding and reckless driving. The funding will support enforcement and education operations aimed at speeders and dangerous driving behavior.
The Sheriff's Office said speeding and reckless driving are among the leading causes of fatal and serious-injury crashes on Riverside County roads, and the program will focus patrol and enforcement resources on high-crash corridors and hours.
Drivers are reminded to obey speed limits, keep a safe following distance, and slow down at intersections and in school zones. Operation times and locations will be set from crash data, the office said.
