Heidi Klum Arrives as Her Own Severed Hand: 25th Annual Halloween Party Held in New York

Heidi Klum's 25th annual Halloween party was held on October 31 at Cathedrale Restaurant at the Moxy East Village in New York, and the 53-year-old model arrived as a giant severed hand: a life-sized replica of her own left hand, complete with red-painted nails, gold rings and a gory wrist stump, her face set into the centre of the palm with only her eyes and mouth showing.
The costume incorporates her real engagement ring and wedding band and a recreated 'Tom' finger tattoo for her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, who did not attend because he was on tour. Klum said the idea came to her the previous year, that getting into the costume took about five to six hours, and that the hardest part is carrying it, because it is quite heavy. The piece was built by her longtime prosthetics collaborator Mike Marino and his studio.
She arrived standing on a truck covered in red 'DANGER' signs and was helped down by performers in blood-stained yellow hazmat suits. The party is presented by Apothic and Butterfinger. Her past costumes include Medusa in 2025, a peacock, a giant worm in 2022, an eight-foot Transformer, the Thriller werewolf and the goddess Kali.
