Maple Leafs Beat Canucks 4-2 to Snap Skid: Matthews Nets His 11th of the Season
The Toronto Maple Leafs beat the Vancouver Canucks 4-2 at Rogers Arena on October 31 to snap a two-game losing streak. Captain Auston Matthews scored his 11th goal of the season, William Nylander and Teddy Blueger each added a goal and an assist, and goaltender Anthony Stolarz made 26 saves.
Vancouver's difficult start to the season continued, the Canucks falling to 3-12-1. Toronto withstood a late push from the home team to protect the two-goal margin to the final horn.
The Maple Leafs return home for their next game, while the Canucks remain at home for theirs.
