Louisiana Senate Race Tied at 47%–47% in Final Poll

A new poll released on November 1 shows Louisiana's U.S. Senate race deadlocked, with Democratic candidate Jamie Davis and Republican candidate Julia Letlow each at 47% support and 6% of respondents undecided or declining to answer. The survey, conducted by Lincoln Park Strategies from October 29 to 31, was released three days before Election Day on November 3.
Among voters who have already cast ballots, Davis leads Letlow 50% to 44%; among those who have not yet voted, Letlow leads narrowly, 48% to 47%, a margin within the poll's margin of error. The firm said the survey covered likely Louisiana voters and was weighted to reflect the electorate.
Both campaigns are now fighting for the last undecided voters and those who have yet to vote. With the two candidates exactly tied in overall support, analysts say the outcome of this Senate race may not be known until votes are counted on election night.
