Final Maine Poll: Jackson Leads Sen. Collins 52%–47%

Sunday, November 1, 2026 · States · GSM News

A final YouGov poll released on November 1 shows Maine Democratic Senate candidate Troy Jackson leading Republican Sen. Susan Collins 52% to 47%, a five-point advantage. The survey was conducted October 26–29 among 1,503 likely voters. It marks a clear shift from YouGov's October 1 survey, when the two were tied at 50%–50%.

Other polls also show Jackson ahead: CNN/SSRS put him up 49% to 45%, a Marist poll 49% to 47%, and Data for Progress 50% to 45%. Early voting data also favors Democrats: as of November 1, registered Democrats accounted for 47% of Maine's early ballots cast, compared with 23% for registered Republicans.

In Maine's governor's race at the same time, Democratic candidate Hannah Pingree leads Republican Robert Charles by double digits in several polls; that race will decide who succeeds term-limited Gov. Janet Mills. Election Day is November 3, and the final outcome will turn on turnout.
