Harry and Meghan Hit Record Lows in YouGov Poll After UK Return: Meghan's Net Rating Falls to -48

British polling firm YouGov released its latest royal favorability tracker on October 29: just 29% of British adults view Prince Harry positively, down four points since July, while 60% view him unfavorably. Only 20% view Meghan positively, against 68% who view her negatively, leaving her net favorability at -48, the lowest ever recorded by the tracker. The couple returned to the UK in late August after six years living in California.
The poll was conducted on October 22-23 among 2,116 adults in Great Britain. By contrast, Prince William stands at 74% positive and Princess Catherine at about 72-73%, the highest among the royals; King Charles is at 58%, his lowest since taking the throne. Among 18-to-24-year-olds, Harry and Meghan fare relatively better, at 34% and 25% positive respectively.
YouGov has run this favorability tracker for years. USA Today noted that the polling took place just as news broke that Meghan's father, Thomas Markle, is being investigated in the Philippines; any effect of that controversy on the couple's ratings is unlikely to show until the next tracker update, expected in early 2027.
