Zoo Lights at the Houston Zoo Runs November 19–January 3 with a First-Ever Christmas Day Opening
Zoo Lights returns to the Houston Zoo (6200 Hermann Park Drive) in Houston, Harris County, Texas, nightly from November 19 to January 3, 2027, 5:30–10:30 p.m. with last entry at 9:30 p.m.; the zoo is closed for the event on December 9 and Christmas Eve.
For the first time, Zoo Lights opens on Christmas Day (December 25). Santa appears through December 23, including as Scuba Santa at the aquarium. Tickets are sold online only at houstonzoo.org — none are sold at the gate — with members saving 20 percent; prices vary by date on the ticketing page. Severe weather can close the event, so check the site before going.
